Monster Hunter Tri (Nintendo Wii), for the first time takes you through a journey of the ecosystem-which enables man to co-exist with the extraordinary creatures that roam both the dry land and bottom of the sea. The game also gives access to Western Wii owners to join in.
In this game, we can take on the character of a hunter. The village chief has given him the task to probe into the regular earthquakes that terrorize the everyday life of Moga village, the fictional place. Players hunt the monsters in an attempt to reclaim the peace and serenity.
Moga, the fictional town is vibrant and busy. It offers a blacksmith for forming weapons and armour and a shop where you can buy items. It also provides an expanded farm with Felynes, a cat-like creature assuming the role of labourer and tending the crops.
Meanwhile, it is not the collection of items and money which decides the conclusion of quests. This collection also enables you to create or upgrade armour and weapons. Hunts, which are successful, leave a real and visible impact on the Moga Village. The home quest items also enable you to repair the damage caused by earthquakes, thus creating more contented and livelier villagers.
The game gives an option of split-screen mode, which allows two players to join and hunt together on the chosen quests. You can also form a team of up to four hunters though the game’s online Wi-Fi mode. Even if you are playing alone in Monster Hunter Tri (Wii)’s challenging quests, you will have help. Cha-Cha, an A1 computer with invaluable skills will act as your hunting partner.
The game will offer new weapons, armour sets and items to the players. This includes the new weapon class, the Switch Axe and a Torch. The torch lights up the darkest of caves and also wards off certain creatures. This also helps in assisting them as they get on the most epic Monster Hunter adventure to date.
